Acadia places 3rd in Nova Scotia Open Data Competition
Acadia sent 4 teams to the NS Open Data Competition at Dalhousie University on March 3. All participants learned a lot and represented the university well.
The team of Keara Leibovitz, and Yuanyuan (Amanda) Shi, and AIDA's Ryan Gorringe came in 3rd out of 14 teams. Their project aimed to predict yearly inland flood severity using previously recorded underground well water data. The presentation was made by the Honarable Patricia Arab, Minister of Internal Services.
