AIDA Delivers Deep Learning Workshop at St. Francis Xavier University
On November 5, 2019, Dr. Danny Silver and Dr. Andy McIntyre of the Acadia Institute for Data Analytics (AIDA) lead a workshop, “An Introduction to Deep Learning with Neural Networks”, at St. Francis Xavier University to an audience of 30 students. AIDA provided a gentle hands-on introduction to developing predictive models using deep learning artificial neural networks. AIDA provided a high-level overview of the key elements of neural networks and deep learning, and recent advances that allow deep networks to solve challenging problems such as object recognition in images, sequence prediction.
