Introduction to Lean Data Analytics

On December 4, the Acadia Institute for Data Analytics (AIDA) hosted a talk about Lean Data Analytics, which provided an introduction to data analytics and lean methodology. The talk was a primer for an upcoming seminar on January 20, "Get Out of Your Gut, Get Into Your Data" event targeted for small and medium sized enterprizes. Danny Silver, the Director of AIDA provided an overview of data analytics for the audinece, while Wes Booth, the Communications & Events Coordinator for AIDA went in to detail about lean methodology. Lean methodology is derived from lean manufacturing, which was first introduced by Toyota and is very similar to aigle software. The point of lean methodolgy in a business setting is to cut out unneccessary steps by iterating feedback into the process to continually improve the product or services. Lean methodolgy is a hot topic for business startups today as it allows for its products and services to reach the market quicker and at a lower cost.
