When: October 3rd, 2014 from 2:30PM-4:00PM

Title: The Atlantic Canada Startup Community

Abstract: The subject will be the Atlantic Canadian startup community. The community has grown exponentially in the past three years, creating wealth and employment in all four provinces. Peter will make the case this is the biggest economic story in the Maritimes right now, and should be a cornerstone of efforts to grow the economy. Entrevestor has closely reported on this development and collected data on about 300 startups in the region. Peter's talk will discuss the data I've collected including such metrics as employment, payroll, revenues and financing by startups in the region. The presentation is the most complete and up-to-date dataset on any startup community in the country and it shows the power of this segment of the economy.
